day three - what goes around comes around

... So says the saying and that is what happened yesterday. In the same vein, the saying "you reap what you sow" could also have been my title.

We had a super day with Sean, Nic's great friend who was a boarder and spent many weekends at our home in Albion Road. Having hoards of boys there for meals and sleepover was the norm. We met him and his two visiting cousins who were also visiting London at High Kensington station. He took us on a wonderful walking tour through Kensington and Nottinghill and Kensington Palace. We stopped at the quaintest pub along the way for a pint, had lunch with a whole crowd of young friends and watched the tennis until the pub burnt down. Not a lie, we were evacuated (don't think it really burnt down as we left). Luckily one of friends lived close by (in the very fancy Holland Park (home of the Beckhams and Robbie Williams))  and we carried on watching in style. Fortunately for us the fire happened at the time of the rain delay. Sean and I were the only Djokovic supporters in the pub and at the flat, so we had a great time.

We left after the tennis in some light rain but carried on walking. Holland Park, Nottinghill, Royal Albert Hall and museums.

We did offer to buy some drinks and pay for lunch but Sean was insistent that it was his pleasure to payback!

I am now writing on the fast train to Glasgow. Quite a job getting to Euston Staion and we had to change our route slightly because of a 'body on the track'. The train is full, our case could not fit on the racks so Michael has it at his feet and is in a twisted position but otherwise we are comfortable and about to enjoy of 'Meal Deal' from Boots. Thanks for the tip Amy, a sandwich, snack and cool drink for £3.50. Not too shabby.
Guess which one is mine!
