Time differences are made to confuse me and our eight hour flight yesterday actually transported us here in just under three hours. So what happened to that time? Either way it was a pretty long day and we flopped into bed after being up and busy for the longest time. I have been awake since 3.30 but that is nothing new and I am not feeling any jet lag or any different to any other day. Michael could sleep in 12 hour shifts and not move (snore yes, but not move). We have been given Joanna and Jon's enormous bed which has made it quite difficult for me to find him firstly and then to prod him onto his side. I don't think this Brooklyn Brownstone has rocked like this for many years.
We spent the afternoon catching up with the girls and then walked around the corner to a local pizza place for supper. The crazy Chris joined us but we have to wait until today to meet Theo and see Jon as they were out together for the day. The weather is slightly cloudy and warm but thankfully not too humid.
Today we are off to do a tour of Grand Cemtral Station and whatever else we can fit in. Tomorrow we meet Hans in the morning to walk the High Line and spend some time with him being tourists. Sunday we are going to see An American in Paris. Everything in between will fit in but for now I want it to get light so that we can get going. So much to see!!!
A quote from one of my favorite books that I have had saved and is pretty appropriate "and....when I sleep...."
Typical Brooklyn bar and restaurant. Very good pizzas and a beer (now my tipple of financial choice)
(that is a pillow against the curtain, by the way)
Have a wonderful Friday. Happy Birthday Ellen (time for you to have a glass of wine for me)
